Enzish Update

Enzo continues to develop his vocabulary, and, along with it, his personality. Here’s an update on the ever-expanding Enzish Dictionary;

Kuh-kuh: book. This is due to Sal and I over-pronouncing ‘book’ to him, and saying ‘book-uh’ to make sure he gets the ‘k’ at the end. Well, he got it, and now that’s how he says it.

Cracker: cracker. This was a one-time occurrence, observed only be me, but he nailed it.

Da da daaaaaaa!: look at that, or what’s that. Who knows.

Tuh-daaaaa: touchdown. Yes, my favorite by far. Usually accompanied by both arms raised in a ‘touchdown signal.

Abiogeneses: The supposed development of living organisms from nonliving matter. Not really. Just making sure you’re paying attention.

Wa-wa: water. If he has some, he’ll come over and show it to you, to make sure you know he’s drinking water.

Haaaah: hat. A few months ago, we couldn’t get him to keep one on for more than 5 seconds. Now, he’s fascinated by them.

Taa! Taa!: Hot! Hot! See ‘kuh-kuh’ above for an explanation of how this one came about.

There have been unsubstantiated reports that he can now say ‘mi-mi’ (as in Grammy), ‘papa’ and ‘nana’ as well. I’m still investigating.
