The 'Still Life' Collection, by Michael

Once in awhile, during a lapse of common sense, we allow Michael to take a few photos with the expensive digital camera. Below are a few still-life shots he took recently. It definitely gives you a sense of where his priorities are right now.

The last shot is very telling, I think, of his forced perspective on the world. It was taken last summer at the breakwater. There’s a raised walkway that surrounds the lighthouse, and a very simple two-rail railing around the whole thing. The lower rail just happens to be at his eye level (at least, it was last summer). I look at the photo as Michael’s way of saying, ‘See? See what I have to deal with on a daily basis?!?’
